Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer - A Discussion of Christian Fellowship Sai Ireland and Josh Cole - Life Together is a classic work by pastor, teacher, martyr Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Written during the Nazi years in Germany, Life Together is about Christian community. This short work defines community in Christ and offers practice for groups, families, and individuals. The goal of this discussion based class is to challenge us to truly live in Christian community.
Philippians 3:20 "Our Citizenship is in Heaven" Richard and Tammy Coker - As Christians in a world that is increasingly hostile to God and his truth, we find ourselves at the front lines of battle. Feelings of frustration, anger, worry and indecision in our family, personal relationships, professional relationships, and our role as a church, should not come as a surprise. Peter and Paul both remind us that we are "Aliens and Exiles" (1Pet. 2:11) in this world and that our Citizenship or Commonwealth is in Heaven. (Phil. 3:20) Difficult conversations inject themselves into our lives as we ask each other, "How are we to respond to all of this?" How do we confront the reality that Jesus, knowing we are not of this world (John 17:14), sends us into the world to deliver His message in word and deed. Join us as we look at Scripture and engage in conversation to discover how we are to live humbly and boldly for Christ in a culture that is increasingly opposed to Him.
The Bible Is A Missions Book Joe Martin - As Christopher J. H. Wright says, "The whole Bible itself is a 'missional' phenomenon." ("The Word of God and Mission of God: Reading the whole Bible for Missions," in Discovering the Mission of God: Best Missional Practices for the 21st Century, IV Press, 2012). This survey of the missionary message of the Bible will demonstrate that every part of the Bible has a missionary message. From cover to cover, the Bible is about God preparing his people to spend eternity with him, and his relentless seeking of those who are separated from him.
