Children at Covenant
Children are an important part of the life of Covenant Presbyterian Church. We believe children belong in the worshiping community of the church and are welcomed as full participants in the life of God’s people.
Our children’s ministry exists to support families as children grow in faith, learn to worship God, and come to know Jesus Christ within the context of the church.
Our Approach
We believe each child is created in the image of God and is called to grow in faith as part of the covenant community. The church’s role is not to replace parents, but to walk alongside families by teaching the Scriptures, praying together, and encouraging children to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Our goal is to help children grow toward a lifelong faith that is rooted in worship, Scripture, and life together in the church.
Sunday Worship, Nursery, and Children’s Church
All children are invited and welcome to remain in the worship service with their families.
- Nursery is available for infants and toddlers during the 9:30am service.
- Children’s Church is offered during the second half of the worship service for children ages 3–K. Prior to the sermon, children and volunteers walk downstairs to the Children’s Church room near the playground. A light snack, Bible story, and craft are provided.
Sunday School
Children ages 2 through 5th grade gather for Sunday School following the worship service (around 10:30am). We begin together in Room 162 with song and prayer before moving to age‑appropriate classrooms. Parents are asked to pick up their children in their classrooms after Sunday School.
Wednesday Night Programs (Seasonal)
During the spring and fall, children are invited to participate in Wednesday night programs as part of our midweek church life. These evenings include dinner and age‑appropriate instruction and activities focused on growing as disciples of Jesus Christ.
